Ainsley's work is a collection of images and film that allow the viewer to enter a world of memory and create their own meaning by relating the images to their own experiences.
Her images are about seeing; seeing as we did when we were children, before we were taught how to see, essentially re-learning vision. It's about enjoying the transitory sensual pleasures of life, the small moments, and bringing whimsey and joy into our rushed routine. Many of the images are out of focus and grainy drawing attention to the object of the photograph while creating an unfamiliar image of the familiar world.
